As part of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce’s first Wednesday tribute concert series, the chamber next week will host a free show dedicated to ABBA.

The performance by ABBAFab will begin at 7 p.m. at the Palm Springs Downtown Park, located at the intersection of Museum Drive and Belardo Road.

The concert series, which runs through May 1, began in December with Kenny Cetera’s Chicago Experience, continued with a Tina Turner tribute in January, and with a joint tribute to Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley in February.

The last two acts scheduled are tributes to Garth Brooks and Bon Jovi.

“Our goal is to bring visitors and residents from throughout the Coachella Valley to downtown Palm Springs during the middle of the week so as to provide a boost to our local bars, restaurants and retail businesses,” chamber CEO Nona Watson said in a statement introducing the series.

Chamber officials encourage concert attendees to bring beach chairs and blankets.
