A fire at an automotive shop in Sherman Oaks was extinguished in 18 minutes by 28 firefighters Tuesday evening with no injuries reported.
Firefighters were called at 9:47 p.m. to the one-story commercial building in the 15300 block of Dickens Street, south of Ventura Boulevard and east of the San Diego (405) Freeway, where they found heavy smoke coming from inside the building and multiple vehicles burning, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
