Four people were reported to have been airlifted to a hospital Sunday after suffering injuries in a head-on crash in the Antelope Valley Sunday.

A white Toyota Tacoma and a silver Toyota Corolla were involved in the collision shortly after 4:15 p.m. Sunday at Highway 18 and 248th Street in Llano, according to a videographer at the scene.

The videographer cited a Los Angeles County Fire Department battalion chief as saying that two of the four victims were listed in critical condition, while the other two sustained moderate injuries.

A dog was also reported injured in the crash, and Animal Control was called to retrieve the animal.

A Sig Alert was issued for Highway 18, shutting down traffic both directions.
