Three people were injured Monday when a truck and car collided at a Moreno Valley intersection, pushing the sedan into a light pole.
The wreck was reported about 10:30 a.m. at Brodiaea Avenue and Perris Boulevard, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said the vehicles impacted at unconfirmed speeds, with the smaller of the two slamming into the light pole.
Firefighters reached the location within 10 minutes and initially reported five people with injuries. Two of the victims declined medical attention, and ambulances were summoned for the other three, whose injuries were not specified. They were taken to nearby Riverside University Medical Center for treatment.
Sheriff’s deputies partially closed the intersection while the wreckage was cleared and a preliminary investigation was conducted.
