Los Angeles County firefighters appear to have gotten a handle on the Max Fire, but not before the fire scorched an estimated 500 acres of brush and burned some structures and cars in Lancaster.
The fire grew to the edge of Lancaster’s residential area and burned some out buildings that were reported to include a barn near the area between 80th Street West and Avenue K, ABC7 reported.
So far, no homes have been lost and no victims reported.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
