Firefighters were battling a vegetation fire south of Hemet Sunday that has consumed at least 13 acres, burning at a moderate rate, authorities said.
Firefighters were dispatched at 3:29 a.m. Sunday to the 42000 block of Oak Canyon Road, the Riverside County Fire Department reported.
By 9:40 a.m., the fire was 20% contained.
No injuries to people or animals were reported.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
