Fire crews knocked down a vegetation fire in Perris Thursday that burned 17 acres.
The fire was reported at 12:09 p.m. Thursday at Goetz and Sotelo roads, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Multiple air and ground resources were requested to assist with the fire, the department reported.
The department said at 7:33 p.m. that the fire was held to 17 acres, with no structures damaged.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
