Fire crews stopped the spread of a vegetation fire that increased from five to 17 acres Thursday in Perris.
The fire was reported at 12:09 p.m. Thursday at Goetz and Sotelo roads, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Multiple air and ground resources were requested to assist with the fire, the department reported.
Firefighters will remain on scene for an additional two to three hours for mop-up.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
