A man killed when his vehicle went over an embankment in Soledad Canyon in the Santa Clarita area was publicly identified Sunday.
Darrell Bruns was 55 years old, according to the Medical Examiner’s office. His city of residence was not immediately available.
The crash was reported at 5:46 p.m. Saturday around Soledad Canyon and Agua Dulce Canyon roads, California Highway Patrol Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.
It was reported the man was ejected from the vehicle and he was pronounced dead at the scene, Lough said. It was unclear if he was the sole occupant.
A news videographer at the scene said the vehicle was an older-model passenger van that crashed into a hillside.
