A motorist was injured Friday in a rollover crash involving an SUV on Interstate 15 in Wildomar.
The crash occurred just after 11 a.m. on southbound I-15 at Clinton Keith Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The agency reported that the SUV was spotted by witnesses “swerving” in and out of lanes just before the driver lost control and the vehicle overturned in the fast lane, coming to rest in the center divider.
Riverside County Fire Department crews reached the location within 10 minutes and quickly extricated the motorist, who was the sole occupant.
He suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics but declined to go to a hospital for further evaluation, according to reports from the scene.
CHP officers shut down the No. 1 lane on southbound I-15 while a preliminary investigation was conducted and the SUV was placed back on its wheels for removal by a tow truck.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
