A motorcycle and tractor-trailer collided Thursday on Interstate 215 in Moreno Valley, but the rider walked away with a few bruises, declining medical attention.
The crash was reported just after 2 p.m. on northbound I-215 at Cactus Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The agency said that the motorcyclist impacted the semi, possibly while attempting to exit the freeway, causing him to go down in the No. 2 lane.
The trucker immediately pulled to the shoulder.
Good Samaritans aided the rider in getting up and out of traffic, along with his bike, moving to the shoulder, according to the CHP.
Riverside County Fire Department paramedics reached the location a few minutes later and assessed the rider, who suffered unspecified minor injuries but declined an ambulance.
The trucker was not hurt.
No other vehicles were involved.
Northbound traffic on I-215 was briefly disrupted, but there were no lane closures.
