A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a Mercedes-Benz Saturday on the Ortega (74) Highway in Rancho Santa Margarita, authorities said.
The crash occurred at about 12:15 p.m. Saturday on the eastbound highway, the California Highway Patrol reported.
A representative from the Orange County coroner’s office was dispatched to the location at 12:53 p.m. and a Sigalert was issued at 12:54 p.m. closing the highway in both directions at Mile Marker 13 for approximately two hours, the CHP said.
No further information was immediately available.
