A 41-year-old man was wounded Saturday in a shooting in the Pico-Union area of Los Angeles.
The shooting occurred at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of South Bonnie Brae Street, at Venice Boulevard, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The man was standing on the sidewalk when he was approached by three men in their early 20s, the spokesman said.
The victim tried to run away but the suspects chased him down and fired multiple rounds at him before fleeing the scene, according to police.
The man had stable vital signs when Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics took him to a hospital for treatment, the spokesman said.
