An autopsy was pending Tuesday on a 5-year-old boy who might have drowned in a backyard swimming pool in Hacienda Heights, authorities said.
The boy was identified as Dylan Lopez of Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner. He died at a hospital.
The emergency was reported at 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the 16000 block of Sigman Street at Stimson Avenue, Deputy Jacob Sivley of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told City News Service.
The initial call was about a child not breathing, possibly due to drowning, Sivley said.
