A cow wandered onto Interstate 10 in Cabazon Friday, disrupting traffic but not causing any accidents.
The loose bovine was reported at 4:45 p.m. Friday on the shoulder of westbound I-10 near the exit ramp for Seminole Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The agency reported that motorists slowed when the animal came into view, and there were concerns that it would position itself in the slow lane, but apparently didn’t.
CHP officers were searching for the animal as of 5 p.m.
There was no immediate word regarding from where the cow originated.
