A person was killed Saturday when a vehicle crashed into a billboard pole in the Florence-Firestone area of South Los Angeles.
The crash was reported at 8:12 p.m. Saturday in the 8600 block of Juniper Street, near Firestone Boulevard and Alameda Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
