A three-vehicle collision on a Winchester freeway Tuesday injured two people involved, authorities said.
The crash was reported shortly after 8:15 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of state Route 79 and Domenigoni Parkway, according to California Highway Patrol records.
CHP officer Jonathan Torres told City News Service that a 45-year-old Murrieta resident was driving his Toyota Camry northbound on state Route 79 when he rear-ended a 38-year-old woman’s Tesla, which got pushed forward into a 23-year-old man’s Volkswagen Jetta.
Torres said the Camry driver suffered moderate injuries from the impact and was taken to a hospital for further treatment. The Tesla driver was left with minor injuries, with a reporting party claiming she had a knee injury, CHP records indicated.
No injuries were reported for the Jetta occupant.
