The City of Indio, in partnership with Goldenvoice, will host a free, all-ages concert downtown next week, city officials announced Monday.
The concert will be held at Center Stage, located at 82881 Miles Avenue, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. April 16.
“Chella” will be held in between weekend one and weekend two of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and is described by city officials as a high-energy festival of live music, local flavor and community celebration.
The artists featured will include El Malilla, Bolo, Gasolina Party featuring DXSKO, J. Patron, Lizz, Castles and Bass Moves. El Malilla will perform before taking stage at Coachella.
Residents and visitors over the age of 21 can enjoy local food trucks and a beer garden at Indio Taphouse, the city’s official beer garden for the event.
“Chella is more than just a concert — it’s a celebration of community, music and the vibrant spirit of Indio …” said Indio Mayor Glenn Miller. “We’re proud to once again partner with Goldenvoice to bring this exciting, inclusive and free event to our residents and visitors in downtown Indio.”
