A Silver Alert was issued Sunday for a 79-year-old woman last seen in Porter Ranch.
Peggy Amenta was last seen around 8 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Tampa Avenue and Rinaldi Street, near the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
She was driving a silver 2016 Nissan Sentra with California license plate 7UBV634.
Authorities say Amenta has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and her family is concerned for her safety.
Amenta was described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, about 110 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.
The Silver Alert is in effect in Orange and Los Angeles counties.

The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
