A residential gas line ruptured by digging resulted in the evacuation of five homes in a Moreno Valley neighborhood Saturday.
The rupture was reported at 3:42 p.m. Saturday in the 24000 block of Skyland Drive, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The homes were evacuated “in an abundance of caution,” fire officials said.
No injuries were reported.
SoCalGas was called to the scene to repair the break, officials said.
