Firefighters from the Riverside County Fire Department battled a fire that burned half an acre of vegetation in Mead Valley Saturday.
The fire was reported at 3:35 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Una and Hunter streets, according to the RCFD. Firefighters stopped the forward rate of spread around 4 p.m.
A fifth-wheel trailer sustained smoke damage, but no injuries were reported, according to the department.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
Firefighters predicted being on scene for mop-up for approximately one hour.
