Temperatures will warm up this week throughout Riverside County, forecasters said Sunday.

“Warm and dry conditions with periods of Santa Ana winds expected this week,” the National Weather Service reported. “Only minor daily fluctuations in temperatures is expected, with highs generally 10-15 degrees above normal each day Monday through Saturday.”

High temperatures in the downtown Riverside, Temecula, Hemet and Coachella Valley areas will range from 80 to 84 degrees all week. Palm Springs was expected to reach 87 from Tuesday to Friday, according to the NWS.

The strongest winds were expected on Tuesday with gusts between 25 to 40 mph in the coastal mountain slopes and below passes. A secondary peak in winds was expected Friday, according to the NWS.

“A few degrees of cooling is expected into next weekend as weak onshore flow returns, but temperatures will continue to run above average,” the NWS announced.

According to the NWS, there were no signs of precipitation until the second half of this month.
