An at-risk 78-year-old man was reported missing after last being seen Wednesday in Van Nuys, prompting the issuance of a Silver Alert.
Aleksander Dadyan was last seen at approximately 11:30 a.m. Wednesday near Sherman Way and Woodman Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Dadyan was described as a 5-foot-8-inch-tall man weighing 165 pounds with gray balding hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a beige shirt, dark blue jogging pants with a white stripe and navy blue shoes.
Authorities believe he is traveling in a gray 2019 Kia Forte with California license plate 8LRC726.
Anyone with information regarding Dadyan*s whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
