A Metro A Line train and a pickup truck collided in Central Los Angeles Wednesday morning, causing the train to derail.
It was not immediately clear if anyone was seriously injured in the crash, which was reported at 4:16 a.m. at the intersection of East Washington Boulevard and San Pedro Street, just south of the Santa Monica (10) Freeway, according to an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department, which was doing traffic control at the location.
Service on Metro’s A Line was been disrupted between the Washington and Grand stations and bus shuttles replaced train service at the San Pedro Station, according to Metro.
