A two-vehicle crash involving a truck shut down all lanes of the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway in the East Hollywood area, snarling traffic as Tuesday morning’s commute got under way.
The crash was reported about 5:15 near the Vermont Avenue exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Video from the location showed the truck under an overpass with what appeared to be fuel or some other fluid spilled across lanes.
Traffic was being diverted onto Vermont as crews responded to the wreck.
Northbound traffic was backed up beyond the Harbor (110) Freeway to Cesar Chavez Avenue.
A SigAlert was in effect. Authorities urged drivers to seek alternative routes.
