The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped one-tenth of a cent Thursday to $4.354, its lowest amount since July 23, 2021, one day after decreasing a half-cent.

The average price is 3.1 cents less than one week ago, 17.6 cents lower than one month ago and 10.4 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $2.14 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $4.239, one day after the run of 10 decreases in 11 days totaling 7.6 cents dropped it to its lowest amount since June 24, 2021, ended when it was unchanged.

The Orange County average price is 2.8 cents less than one week ago, 19.3 cents lower than one month ago and 16.3 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $2.22 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose for the fourth consecutive day following a three-day streak of decreases totaling 2.4 cents, rising four-tenths of a cents to $2.844. It has increased 4.9 cents over the past four days, including 2 cents Wednesday.

The national average price is 2.5 cents more than one week ago but 6.2 cents less than one month ago and 24.5 cents lower than one year ago. It has dropped $2.172 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
