A person was killed Sunday when two vehicles collided head-on in Desert Hot Springs.
The crash was reported at 4:56 p.m. Sunday on North Indian Canyon Drive and Pierson Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A witness told the CHP that a white Honda Civic and a gray Lexus collided head-on and that one vehicle caught fire.
One person apparently died at a hospital around 7:40 p.m., according to the CHP’s online log.
The intersection was closed for over an hour.
