Firefighters battled a five-acre brush fire in an unincorporated area near Perris Sunday.
The fire was reported around 9:20 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Cajalco Road and Dreamglo Lane, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Responding firefighters reported the fire burning at a moderate rate of spread in light, flashy fuels.
The fire’s forward progress was stopped around 10:40 a.m., but firefighters predicted remaining on scene for an additional two hours for mop-up.
