At least 10 gallons of diesel spilled from an overturned semi-truck on the Golden State (5) Freeway on-ramp in Lincoln Heights Thursday.

California Highway Patrol officers requested fire crews to the 2100 block of North Pasadena Avenue around 3:15 p.m. Thursday after reports of an overturned semi on the freeway’s on-ramp, which caused a small diesel spill, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Fire crews were working to prevent further runoff by diking the flow, LAFD spokeswoman Lindsey Lantz said.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.

It was unclear why the vehicle overturned.
