Two communities in the Brea area were given evacuation warnings Saturday after a four-acre brush fire was reported nearby.

The fire was reported at 1:37 p.m. Saturday in the area of Carbon Canyon Road and Olinda Place, according to the Orange County Fire Authority. That prompted warnings that residents of Olinda Village and Hollydale Mobile Home Estates should prepare to evacuate.

Firefighters attacked the fire from the air and ground, officials said.

Carbon Canyon Road was closed between Brea Hills and Ruby, they said. Only residents of the affected communities were being permitted to drive east on Carbon Canyon Road.
