A 54-year-old man who was found dead at an embankment near the eastbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles was identified Tuesday.
The California Highway Patrol shut down the off-ramp of the freeway around 1 p.m. Thursday heading southbound onto La Cienega Boulevard as authorities conducted a death investigation.
The man was identified Tuesday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Warren McLaughlin, with the cause of his death listed as deferred.
