A shooting was reported on an interstate in Murietta Thursday, injuring a motorcyclist injured and shutting down lanes for hours as officers investigated.
The shooting was reported about 12:45 a.m. Thursday on the southbound side of the 215 freeway, which was closed between Scott Road and Clinton Keith Road, just north of Interstate 15.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, according to ABC7.
An update on the rider’s condition was not immediately available.
Southbound lanes of Interstate 215 were reopened about 8 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.
