Firefighters Saturday battled a 15-acre brush fire in Perris.
The fire was reported just before 3 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Orange Avenue and Perris Boulevard, where firefighters found an acre of vegetation burning at a moderate rate of spread, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The fire was contained at approximately 15 acres, and firefighters predicted remaining on scene for three additional hours for mop-up.
The cause remained under investigation, and no injuries were reported.
