Authorities Friday were investigating several suspicious fires in Pasadena that were quickly extinguished.
The fires were reported beginning around noon Friday, included one in a trash bin behind a Whole Foods Market at 3751 E. Foothill Blvd.; the bed of a truck parked in front of Panda Inn at 3488 E. Foothill Blvd.; a trash can inside Panera Bread at 3521 E. Foothill Blvd.; and a car fire at the Sierra Madre Villa parking structure, according to Pasadena spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.
She said the fires all occurred within a few hours. Emergency response personnel quickly responded to extinguish the flames and check for any additional fire activity.
The cause of the fires was being investigated.
