Firefighters were working to put out a one-acre brush fire Saturday that started alongside the 241 Toll Road in Orange.
The fire was reported at a half-acre at 2:03 p.m. Saturday on the northbound state Route 241 Toll Road near Santiago Canyon Road, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
At 2:39 p.m., the OCFA reported that forward progress had been stopped.
The California Highway Patrol issued a Sigalert at 2:38 p.m. shutting down both sides of the toll road through the area.
The No. 1 lane of the northbound 241 at Santiago Canyon Road was reopened at 3:15 p.m. and all southbound lanes were open, the CHP reported. The northbound No. 2 remained closed.
