Firefighters knocked down a small vegetation fire in Irvine, authorities said Sunday.
Firefighters dispatched just after 9 p.m. Saturday got a quick handle on the 1/8-acre vegetation fire on State Route 73 at Newport Coast Drive, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
