A motorist lost control of his sedan on a Jurupa Valley street Monday, overturning in the front yard of a house.

The crash was reported at 10:25 a.m. Monday on Van Buren Boulevard, just north of Limonite Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The agency said that a Cadillac flipped over while traveling at an unknown speed, rolling onto the residential property.

There were initial reports that the motorist, whose identity was not disclosed, was trapped in the sedan and that it was on fire. However, after several engine crews reached the location, they confirmed there were no flames, and the driver had self-extricated.

No one at the location was injured. No major property damage was reported.

Firefighters cleared the scene shortly before 11 a.m., after which sheriff’s deputies took over the investigation.
