A brush fire broke out during mid-90-degree temperatures in the Antelope Valley community of Llano Friday and quickly scorched eight acres.
The fire was reported about 12:50 p.m. Friday near Jesus Canyon Road and East Avenue Z, near the L.A.-San Bernardino County line.
A water-dropping helicopter and seven engine companies responded and at least one air tanker was also summoned to the blaze, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
No injuries or damage to structures were immediately reported.
