Two water main breaks affected service for nearly 50 Department of Water and Power customers Saturday, the utility reported.
Both were six-inch lines and both were repaired by 1:30 p.m. with service restored.
One break was at 1520 W. Court St. in Echo Park, affecting 17 “services” and a fire hydrant, LADWP spokeswoman Vanessa Lopez told City News Service.
The second one occurred at 116 N. Flores St. in Beverly Grove and affected 30 services and two fire hydrants.
Lopez said broken water mains occur often, although not to the extent of the major break in West Hollywood last week, Lopez said. The system averages two to four pipe breaks per day, she said.
