At least one person was injured Sunday when a pickup truck collided with a bicycle in the San Gabriel Valley.
The crash was reported about 4:25 p.m. Sunday in the 15700 block of Maplegrove Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
An exact location was not provided, but the CHP stated that it was in an unincorporated part of Los Angeles County. The agency routinely patrols surface streets in such areas. Internet searches place the scene east of North Hacienda Boulevard in the San Gabriel Valley city of La Puente.
CHP Officer John Trejos told City News Service that the collision was being investigated as a “two-vehicle crash with injuries,” but did not which party suffered the injuries, nor the nature or extent of them.
Trejos also said he could not confirm whether the driver remained at the scene, nor whether any arrests or citations had been made.
The investigation remained ongoing.
