Firefighters stopped forward progress of a smoky brush fire that burned Saturday in the Wildwood Canyon area of Burbank.
The fire was reported about 3 p.m. Saturday and there were unconfirmed reports that it was started when a vehicle hit a tree.
The city of Burbank stated the fire was in Wildwood Canyon and initially ordered the evacuation of DeBell Golf Club and its restaurant, 1500 E. Walnut Ave., near the Stough Canyon Nature Center, with hiking trails closed until further notice.
The Starlight Bowl concert scheduled for Saturday was canceled.
All evacuation orders were lifted Saturday evening.
CalFire’s latest reported on its online list of current incidents had the fire consuming 20 acres. CBSLA and the Watch Duty app reported the fire had later consumed a total of 40 acres.
The city stated it received assistance from other fire departments in the region.
