Firefighters Sunday were battling a one-acre brush fire in Perris.
The fire was reported around 4:20 p.m. Sunday in the 20100 block of Smith Road, according to the nonprofit wildfire-information service Watch Duty.
Responding firefighters reported the fire burning at a moderate rate of spread with potential for two acres.
No injuries were immediately reported, and the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
