Firefighters Sunday morning knocked down a second-alarm fire at a two-story strip mall in San Juan Capistrano, where a person at the scene was treated for smoke inhalation, authorities said.
That person was not transported to a hospital, according to an Orange County Fire Authority public information officer.
Firefighters were dispatched at 1:48 a.m. to the 32000 block of Paseo Adelanto and quickly limited the bulk of the fire to two end units on the first floor.
No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
