A donkey was struck by a vehicle and killed Saturday in Redlands.
The crash was reported around 11:55 a.m. Saturday near 8081 Reche Canyon Road, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.
No occupants in the vehicle were injured, according to a CHP dispatcher.
A witness told the CHP that the donkey was in a gutter trying to get up, but the animal succumbed to the injuries shortly afterward.
