A multi-vehicle crash Monday afternoon on the I-405 Freeway just north of Sunset Boulevard left one person dead.
The collision was reported in northbound lanes at about 2:30 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol dispatchers. One person died at the scene, and at least one other was injured.
Details regarding what led up to the crash were not immediately available. It remained under investigation as of Monday evening.
