A 49-year-old man killed in a crash in Pacoima that left three others injured was identified Wednesday.

The solo-vehicle collision, involving a gray sedan on the westbound Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway at the San Fernando Road off-ramp was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 8:18 p.m. Saturday

The vehicle went down the right shoulder embankment and crashed into a tree, a witness told the agency.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while another was taken to a hospital in serious condition. Two other victims were hospitalized in fair condition, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Jennifer Middleton said.

The deceased victim was identified Wednesday as Angel Avila Corrales, whose cause of death was listed as deferred.

The genders and ages of the injured victims were not immediately available, Middleton said.

Corrales did not appear to be the driver of the sedan. A CHP officer reported that the driver was conscious when evaluated by paramedics.
