The landmark Warner Bros. water tower in Burbank was sporting a new corporate identity Tuesday, with workers adding the words “A Skydance Corporation” to the structure hours after the completion of Paramount’s takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery.
The familiar Warner Bros. shield remains on the tower, with the Skydance designation added beneath it, providing a highly visible sign of the ownership change at the historic studio lot.
The change came the same day Paramount completed its takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery and the combined entertainment company adopted the Skydance name.
Skydance CEO David Ellison announced last week that the merged company would use the Skydance name while retaining the identities of the Paramount and Warner Bros. studios.
The tower update mirrors a change made at Paramount Pictures following Skydance Media’s takeover of Paramount Global in 2025. The Paramount water tower in Hollywood was similarly updated with the words “A Skydance Corporation.”
The Warner Bros. water tower has long been one of the most recognizable features of the studio’s Burbank lot.
The corporate makeover followed the closing Tuesday of the roughly $110 billion Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery transaction, which brought the two major film studios under one corporate parent along with television and streaming properties including CBS, CNN, HBO, HBO Max and Paramount+.
The combined company is led by Ellison and co-Chief Executive Ynon Kreiz, the former CEO of Mattel.
Ellison founded the original Skydance Media in 2006. The company combined with Paramount in 2025 to create Paramount Skydance before pursuing Warner Bros. Discovery.
