Gardena police asked for the public’s help Monday in tracking down a hit-and-run driver responsible for the death of an 82-year-old pedestrian.
Alfredo Gonzales Tambongco was in a crosswalk at the intersection of 132nd Street and Normandie Avenue at 5:59 a.m. Thursday when he was struck by someone driving a green 2002 Honda Passport. He was declared at the scene.
