A 24-year-old man shot three times in the back in the driveway of a Compton residence is expected to survive his wounds, authorities said Tuesday.
The man was shot by one of three suspects who confronted him near the intersection of South Willowbrook Avenue and Indigo Street around 10 p.m. Monday, said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Lt. Nabeel Mitry.
The victim was also struck in the leg by shots from a handgun and was hospitalized in stable condition, Mitry said.
The shooting was believed to be gang-related, but no suspect descriptions were immediately available, he said.
