Detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly robbed a West Los Angeles Starbucks in September.

According to police, the man entered a Starbucks store in the 10900 block of West Pico Boulevard on Sept. 4, ordered a drink and proceeded to show the barista an automatic handgun he was concealing in his waistband.

After showing the employee his gun, the man demanded money, which was handed over to him by the barista, according to police.

The suspect is described as a black male, 32-27 years of age standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. At the time of the alleged robbery, police say the suspect was wearing a black jacket, hooded sweatshirt, blue denim jeans and a set of white headphones over a black baseball cap.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call LAPD West Los Angeles detectives at 310-444-1529 or after hours at 1-877-527-3247. Tipsters can also leave anonymous tips with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
